Single Tooth Dental Implants in Kenmore WA

A single tooth dental implant is planned to replace one missing tooth. It offers a healthy and long-lasting way to reinstate a smile that missing teeth have compromised. Dental implants improve the overall health of your oral cavity by encouraging healthy jawbone renewal and restoring lost teeth. At Amin Tabatabaian DDS PLLC, we recommend implant restorations for patients to help them regain confidence in the appearance and function of their smile.

Why Choose Dental Implants?

Missing teeth can cause problems like deterioration of the jawbone structure, poor nutrition, and several other health issues. In due course, the jawbone will begin to shrink due to missing stimulation, causing patients to lose bone density and ultimately more tooth loss.

Dental implants are solid tooth replacements known to stimulate bone regrowth and prevent further damage to the oral cavity. The bone revival becomes possible as the dental implants are surgically placed into the jawbone and permanently fuse with the surrounding soft tissues. As a long-term solution, implant restoration makes all the difference in recovering a healthy smile.

Types of Dental Implants

Endosteal Dental Implants

These implants comprise a titanium post placed inside the jawbone of the missing tooth.

Subperiosteal Dental Implants

These dental implants are inserted between the gums and the jawbone.

The Dental Implant Process

The process of dental implants begins with your consultation with Dr. Amin Tabatabaian. We will review your general medical history, oral health condition, and smile goals during this visit to decide the most effective solution for your needs. Based on the condition of your oral cavity, we may recommend some preliminary tests before placing your dental implants.

Placing the Implant Restoration

Once all preliminary treatments have been completed, we will begin the process of placing your dental implant. During the surgery, a titanium implant screw will be inserted into the jawbone and sutured up. A couple of months are allowed for the implant screw to fuse with the surrounding jawbone tissues. This fusion process is referred to as osseointegration.

Final Restoration

After the healing process is accomplished and the implant has fully integrated into your mouth, the final step involves the placement of an abutment and a crown. The abutment is the connector piece of the implant that links the fixture to the crown. The implant crown serves as the artificial tooth, and it is custom fabricated to blend in with your smile.
